Oil Powder
Oil powder is a powder form, usually obtained by spraying and drying liquid oil in a carrier medium. This is usually done using maltodextrin or a similar carrier. Fat powder offers the advantages of ease of use and long shelf life of liquid fat, while at the same time reducing the moisture content of the product, making it last longer. Fat powder can be used in many food products and allows the fat content to be controlled, especially in cream, soup mixes, sauces and desserts.
